Abstract :
Introduction:- Scar endometriosis is a rare entity characterized by presence of functional endometrial tissue in the site of surgical scar. Cesarean section scar is the most common reported site. We herein report a case of cesarean scar endometriosis in a 21-years-old female patient. Case Details:- 21 year old female, with history of lower segment cesarean section 1 year back, presented to our center with complains of pain and palpable lump during menstruation, at the site of cesarean scar. On ultrasonography heterogeneous hypoechoeic lesion noted in subcutaneous plane on right lateral side of scar measuring 3.3*3*2.7 cm. She was planned for surgical removal of the tissue. Conclusion:- A clinical diagnosis can be made with a proper history-taking (the classic triad), physical examination, and imaging. MRI is a particularly helpful diagnostic assessment tool in cases of scar endometriosis. Hormonal treatment is only partially helpful. Surgical excision remains the criterion standard treatment.
