Kartagener syndrome is a rare genetic disorder of autosomal recessive inheritance which comprises of trinity of Situs inversus , chronic sinusitis and bronchiectasis.It is a subgroup of primary ciliary dyskinesia that can cause infertility and ectopic pregnancy. Our patient was a 36 year old female with primary infertility for 11 years diagnosed with Kartagener syndrome only recently at our institute. After managing her respiratory symptoms she was referred to a fertility clinic. Invitro fertilization and embryo transfer was performed for her and patient conceived successfully.she is now under regular antenatal checkup at16 weeks of gestational period. Females with primary infertility and chronic respiratory symptoms should be highly suspected for primary ciliary dyskinesia.
