Abstract :
Adherent placenta is common in prev.caesarean scar as placenta increta, accreta,& percreta. Common Symptoms -:Vaginal bleeding, Lower abdominal pain ?It is defined as when the placenta fails to detach from the uterine wall due to abnormal implantation at basal plate. ?It is believed that, due to the weak vascular support in the uterine front wall of some patients who undergo any surgical intervention, blastocyst implants itself to a previous fibrous scar and myometrium prior to the formation of decidua basalis. ? The incidence of adherent placenta is reported moslty among caesarean deliveries Case presentation: -: A 37 yrs old Female P1L0A3 with previous 1 preterm vaginal delivery(day 22) came with complains of bleeding pv since 15 days associated with clots.TVS revealed the diagnosis of retained placenta suspcious of placenta acrreta spectrum. Further MRI suggested retained placental adherence more likely placenta acreta-increta Conclusion: This kind of patients with adherent placenta is at risk of severe ,potentially life ?threatening, maternal morbidity. Early detection is key, strict diagnostic criteria and properly trained experienced sonographers & timely management by expert surgeons can saved the uterus in patient with adherent placenta
